More KVR

KVR

Biking the KVR Chute Lake to Penticton.

Chute Lake Lodge

Bruce flew out from Ontario for a wee visit. Me and Kevin, Bruce, and my mom and dad decided to go do some exploring. We took a shuttle up to Chute Lake Lodge with our bikes. We had a coffee there and picked through some of their unusual antiques. From there we rode our bikes on the Kettle Valley Railway back to Penticton (42km) Quite a day

Jack Pine Lake

Kevin has found a new after work hangout. Up the dirt road behind our house is a nice secluded little fishing lake called Jack Pine. We saw a bear on our drive up, but unfortunatly he ran away to quickly and I was too slow with the camera. But hear are some shots of my fisherman!

Welcome to the world

This is my new nephew, yet to be named. Kris and Adrienne's second child! He was born this morning, and I got to see him for the first time tonight!

After visiting the happy family at the hospital we went for a seafood dinner at Salty's on the Beach. This Rainbow was shining bright in the sky as the sun went down

The Monster Truck Show

We finished off a fun Saturday together by going and seeing the monster truck show with Dave. Man is it loud in there. Above is The Jurassic Attack, I liked it cause of the horns, but Kev thinks it looks cheesy. Below is the Iron Outlaw, Kevin's, and the crowds favorite. He definitely could get the most air!
Kevin had this look an his face all night, like a really excited 10 year old boy whose been given too much candy and a big brick of fire crackers.
This guy really rocked!

Kelowna Rowing Club

I just finished my learn to row course at the Kelowna Rowing club. We started class at 5:30 in the morning. Wow is the lake quiet at that hour. It was a nice way to start the day. But I think if I become a member I will go rowing a little later in the morning than that.
We were doing a style of rowing called sculling. It is done in a very long narrow boat with anywhere from 1 to 8 people paddling. Lots of fun to try something new.

Westbank Fire

Someone torched a fruit market in Westbank last night. I met Kevin their on my way home. He had shot a bunch of photos. Some may have been picked up by a local paper. During his and Dave's wanders they ran into Kip Frasz, a reporter for some local newspapers. The photo below was used as the cover shot for Wednesdays Westside Weekly paper!
